Endodontics
Root canal therapy and treatments for dental pulp issues with modern techniques for your comfort.
Save Your Natural Teeth
Endodontic treatments focus on the dental pulp—the soft tissue inside your tooth containing nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue. When this tissue becomes infected or inflamed, endodontic therapy can save your tooth and relieve pain.
At Serene Dental Spa, we use advanced techniques and technology to make endodontic procedures as comfortable and effective as possible. Despite their reputation, modern root canal treatments are typically no more uncomfortable than having a filling placed.
Our goal is to preserve your natural teeth whenever possible. Saving your natural tooth with endodontic treatment has many advantages: efficient chewing, normal biting force and sensation, natural appearance, and protection of other teeth from excessive wear or strain.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about endodontic treatments.
Is root canal therapy painful?
Modern root canal therapy is typically no more uncomfortable than having a filling placed. We use effective local anesthesia to ensure you don't feel pain during the procedure. After treatment, any discomfort can usually be managed with over-the-counter pain medications.
How long does a root canal procedure take?
A root canal typically takes 60-90 minutes per appointment, with most treatments requiring one or two appointments. The exact time depends on the complexity of your case and which tooth is being treated (molars with multiple canals take longer than front teeth with single canals).
How do I know if I need a root canal?
Signs that you might need a root canal include severe toothache, prolonged sensitivity to hot or cold, discoloration of the tooth, swelling and tenderness in the nearby gums, or a persistent pimple on the gums. However, sometimes there are no symptoms. Regular dental check-ups help us catch problems before they become severe.
What happens after a root canal?
After a root canal, you may need a crown to protect the treated tooth from fracture. You'll be able to use the tooth normally once treatment is complete. With proper care, a tooth treated with a root canal can last a lifetime.
